Despina Lalaki from Greek-American Left Movement-NYC will speak on police and state repression in response to the upsurge of protest in Greece. As an organizer of local protests against the Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn, Lalaki will analyze the rising threat of fascism, and both the achievements and challenges facing the left. Open discussion will follow.
Meeting starts at 3pm. Admission free. Brunch at 2pm; $10 donation.
