Heitmann & Associates, Inc., a 50 year strong Building Enclosure Consulting firm has an immediate opening for a seasoned Consultant \ Project Manager in our New York City office.

This position will involve a variety of general functions, including but not limited to:

Lead / Manage various projects during the entire design through the construction process.
Collaborate with project team members on building enclosure performance, constructability, and interface with similar and dissimilar materials, systems, and trades.
Conduct/oversee field review and progress inspection on designated projects.
Ensure familiarity with building codes in local markets.
Assist in managing budgetary project requirements.
Communicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job related management teams.
Field work to include witnessing mock-up erection and testing, water testing, erection during new construction, as well as forensic investigation.


Experience in the Curtain Wall industry required.
Experience in leading and managing projects.
Background in building enclosure systems, and knowledge of related concepts, codes and standards.
Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Takes independent initiative, and works proactively in solving problems.
NY Professional Engineer or NY Registered Architect preferred but not required.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, construction documents and specifications.
Experience with AutoCAD or Revit preferred.
Strong technical writing, editing, interpersonal, communication and time management skills.

Some travel will be required with minimal overnight stay as a rule. Full benefit package is offered.
