The Columbus Citizens Foundation (CCF) is a non-profit organization located in New York City dedicated to preserving and promoting the appreciation of Italian-American heritage and culture, providing scholarships and opportunities to young people, supporting other philanthropic initiatives and organizing the Columbus Day parade since 1929.

Position Summary
CCF Director, Scholarship/Opportunities Office, advances the mission of the Foundation and provides leadership and coordination for all aspects of its scholarship, mentoring and internship programs to broaden opportunities for young Italian Americans that support education and career success.

• Providing management and leadership for the implementation of the goals and objectives for CCF student opportunities encouraging and supporting the educational goals of young people
• Maintaining and/or developing programs, materials and databases.
• Providing support to the Board and program aligned committees
• Assisting in the development of an effective mentorship program, recruiting and working with members to serve as role models, providing encouragement and advice for mentees.
• Organizing and managing program events and committee meetings
• Handling communications with applicants and families.
• Organizing/updating/managing information systems, calendar, administration and maintenance of records, scholarship allocations, internship providers and placement as well as mentors and matches.
• Supporting Foundation committee members and building relationships to strengthen and/or expand program opportunities.
• Managing and coordinating all aspects of the online application, interview and selection process for each program
• Preparing applications for review and selection by designated Committee
• Providing statistical data and reports to communicate applicant status to committees and Executive management
• Providing support on activities and events for the Columbus Day weekend
• Assisting the Controller and Executive Director as needed
• Coordinating public information, websites and social media sites
• Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of a new alumni program.
• Representing the Foundation, its mission and accomplishments to stakeholders including, donors, alumni, parents and the general public.

BA or BS required
Minimum three years of related work experience required
Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to multi-task, and relationship building skills
Superior written and verbal skills
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point; Raiser's Edge and database management
This position is a full-time, year-round role. Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. for other than practical training.
