Early Childhood Education Director - The Washington Market School (New York, NY)
Our terrific school is a large, well-established, non-profit private Early Childhood Center located in Lower Manhattan. We follow a teaching philosophy which combines both the Montessori and Reggio Emilia programs. Our community of educators, administrators and parents is enormously supportive.
Education Director: We are searching for an experienced, dedicated educator / administrator. The position involves working with children, parents, experienced teachers and directors. The candidate's qualifications must include early childhood education and administrative/leadership.
Position Requirements: The minimum requirements to be considered for this position include a completed Master's degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education, or its equivalent; New York State teaching certification; at least 5 years of professional expierence which combines work in an administrative/leadership position and experience as a full-time teacher in an Early Childhood classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Montessori and/or Reggio based program.
