What you’ll be doing...

This role leads the development and distribution of strategic communications programs and campaigns that influence and engage audiences important to brand reputation and “earned influence.” You’ll lead the creation of audience-facing assets that get shared externally. You’ll work cross-functionally across the Comms team as well as with the following corporate business units – HR/Careers, Investor Relations, Public Policy, Verizon Foundation/Corporate Social Responsibility, Legal and New Product & Development to develop assets with high impact to increase our earned influence. You will lead a variety of projects from conception to completion, on time, on budget, bringing the most impactful idea to life in the best possible way.

The role will be based in our Basking Ridge, NJ office, with 5% National travel to be expected.

Specific Responsibilities in order of importance:

  • Strategize on new creative content to distribute to our community and external audiences – that drives earned influence by changing brand perception and grows brand preference with millennials and key audience segments (policy, CSR, early tech adopters, tech enthusiasts, conscientious consumers).
  • Take creative ideas from concept all the way through production and determine best path for distribution.
  • Direct integrated marketing campaigns that deliver a consistent and relevant message across platforms and business units.
  • Lead and direct agency relationships with ownership of specific work streams and programs.
  • Develop standards, systems, and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, retrieval and repurposing.
  • Leads intakes with business units.
  • Lead various project types within social content and campaign production, including video, photography, motion graphics, animation and sound.
  • Identify content development lifecycle trends using metrics to recommend and implement resolution techniques, which result in measurable improvements in KPIs.
  • Negotiate with internal partners on program scopes and outcomes.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience managing agency partners or leading campaigns.
