Title: Head of Marketing Communications Location: US-NY-New York Job Number: MAR00003313 Head of Marketing Communications Role Purpose Defining and leading the marketing communications strategy and plans for Thomson Reuters GRC globally, the Head of Marketing Communications will be accountable for driving business growth throughawareness, thought leadership and lead generation activities. Closely aligned with international sales leadership, the Head of Marketing Communications will be responsible for the inspired leadership of regional marketing communication and lead development teams based in UK/Europe, The Americas andAPAC and will equip and motivate teams to deliver on KPIs aligned with regional sales targets. Responsibilities * Lead a global team through hierarchy organization to drive and deliver to plan.Manages managers who are responsible for executing regional marketing plans that support sales and business goals * Work collaboratively with senior marketing leadership team to construct and deliver on strategic marketing plans, refine marketing performance measurement (dashboard development), and optimize marketing infrastructure Provide strategic input into thought leadership programs to support awareness, acceptance and demand generation across the Accelus portfolio Implement waterfall lead development methodology across the organization Monitor regulatory changes/impact on the market and proactively feed back market insight to all stakeholders and identifying new opportunities and processes for marketing to bring the voice of the customer into the organization to aid product development, marketing campaign planning, and sales execution. Maintain budget oversight ($3M ) of a global program of activity including (3rdParty), Events (Proprietary), Webcasts, thought leadership programs, EDM programs, appointment setting and calling campaigns Manage and monitor the budget at a global level through regional management; implementing metrics to effectively measure ROI for initiatives, and deliver transparency of reporting on all activities. Evangelize and lead the marketing communications team throughout the organization, navigating the landscape with a collaborative and inspiring approach Influences up, down, and across the organization to ensure appropriate buy-in and support of initiatives Scope and Impact With senior marketing leadership team creates marketing strategy across the Accelus portfolio Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Sets regional manager objectives and KPIs to support local sales targets Involved in developing, modifying and executing Marketing processes that affect immediate operations(s) Establishes and assures adherence to budgets schedules, work plans, and performance requirements Has the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship. Manages managers and has full responsibility for quality and quantity of work, motivating staff, methods, discipline, staffing decisions and varied and complex supervisory duties. Qualifications: Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies Experience of managing global teams in a matrix organisation Experience of managing managers. Excellent domain knowledge of one or more Marketing Functional Specialties and a good knowledge of the governance, risk and compliance markets Expert knowledge of the creative Marketing process, including: defining resource levels; providing clear direction and coaching to improve the team''s output; and producing work on budget and on time. Ability to bring innovation and freshness to our marketing execution Highly collaborative individual with proven ability to work well within a matrix organization, working with stakeholders to manage budget resources and achieving internal customer satisfaction Individual must possess excellent marketing communication skills, strong marketing insight and have a high degree of customer orientation. Strong presentation skills that foster and expand relationships within the organization. Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills; prior experience managing team members in separate countries. Experience working directly with senior-level business leaders. Strong internal and external communicator; strong project management, budget management and influencing skills. Certifications / Education Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred Professional Experience A senior level manager with broad Marketing experience. Substantial experience (7-10 years) leading a segment/field marketing team in a b2b environment, ideally in the GRC or financial services space Demonstrated experience managing a team of managers and individuals. Experience in working on large projects in a complex, loose matrix organization. Proven success in generated leads for the business that have delivered on ambitious revenue growth expectations Experience with marketing automation systems (Eloqua) and CRM (SFDC) Behavioural Competencies Driving Results Collaborating across Boundaries
