Position Objectives & General Responsibilities

The QA Tester works within the Software/QA/UAT department.

The individual in this position is responsible for testing web based and windows applications.

To ensure our products meet the requirements and functionality required by users.

The QA process will include development of test cases, test plans and test scenarios and reports test results and status to the various teams.

Working Relationships – Reporting Structure

The individual in this position works with the QA Analysts under the supervision of the Manager of QA/UAT.

Tasks and Duties

Test software to ensure products meet design specifications and functionality requested by users

Work closely with our development and project management teams in completing projects and requirements that will introduce new features and new functionality to all our applications.

Develop, Maintain and execute manual test cases and test plans

Report, track, and monitor defects in our internal defect tracking system

Qualifications (Skills, Education, Training, and Experience)

Must have at least 1 year of recent professional Software QA experience

Knowledge of QA processes, methodologies and procedures.

Experience with QA testing both windows and web based applications.

Strong attention to detail and “test to break” attitude

Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to work well individually as well as with a team.

Familiar with testing types and techniques: Black box, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Cross browser.

Must be versed in Windows OS, and MS Office Applications (Excel, Word)

Familiar with SDLC process and the role of QA in it

Information Security Roles & Responsibilities

The QA Tester is responsible for:

Adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to the protection of confidential data Reporting actual or suspected vulnerabilities that could impact the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of confidential data

Maintaining and supporting compliance with security policies

Attending regular security training sessions
