KeyMe is an NYC startup revolutionizing the $7.5B/yr locksmith industry with innovative robotics, artificial intelligence, and mobile technology. We’re raised $70M to date from top-tier investors include Comcast Ventures, Battery Ventures, 7-Eleven, and White Star Capital. We are looking for a process engineer to join our operations team and play an integral, strategic-minded role in scalably and profitably expanding our business.

The Operations Process Engineer sits in NYC and reports to the VP of Operations. This role will require a minor amount of travel (10 - 15%), depending on active projects.

Responsibilities

The Operations Process Engineer is a project-focused individual contributor. The role focuses on initiatives aimed at providing consistent and high-quality consumer goods, scaling business processes and subprocesses, and improving profit margin.

Initiatives May Include:

Collaboration with Engineering on Kiosk Performance Measurement System Analysis

Assessment of Business Impact and Execution Plan for Potential Retrofits

Development and Documentation of Condition-Based Maintenance Strategy

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Action Plan, Per Product Quality Trends

Refurbishment/Advanced Repair Program Design

Required Qualifications

Experience reading mechanical and electrical schematic drawings for manufacturing.

Thorough experience authoring work instruction documentation.

Experience with root-cause analysis and change management.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), Manufacturing Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.·

Past work in a hardware, robotics, or machine-focused business (particularly ones that have wide deployments that require remote monitoring).

Experiencing communicating initiatives in a business-minded, financially quantifiable method.

SolidWorks or AutoCAD skills.

Basic understanding of machinability of specific metals.

Lean manufacturing certification.

Knowledgeable in DFx process, particularly DFS
