The Community Computer Connections Program (CCCP) is seeking a volunteer to manage its outreach activities. The principal responsibility is soliciting donations of computer equipment (in particular, laptops and desktops) and funding.
CCCP is sponsored by RSVP, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, a not-for-profit agency. CCCP provides refurbished computers free of charge to individuals, families and veterans across Long Island. CCCP receives donations of computer equipment (desktops, laptops, etc.) from various entities (businesses, libraries, banks) on Long Island.
We are looking for a retired, self-directed individual who will actively pursue donations of computers and funding from a multiplicity of organizations.
Nearly all the work is done from your home (so long as you are based on Long Island!). The time commitment is approximately 10 hours a week and is flexible, based on the amount of activity going on. Timely response to calls and emails are essential, as are computer skills such as word and excel.
The present manager is stepping back after 10 years with the program.
Let’s talk!
