Our Association is the largest youth-service organization in NYC. The organization has grown to encompass 21 branches and more than 140 sites throughout the five boroughs of New York City in addition to three camp sites and an upstate conference center.The Association is seeking a qualified applicant who will be responsible for the successful implementation of the school based after school program for 100 teens at Grover Cleveland High School (GCHS). The Program Director will also assist in the management of teen and middle school programs at the branch.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in creating, recommending and implementing a comprehensive school-based program, which considers space utilization, equipment needs, needs of the participants, requirements of the school, budget requirements, safety and emergency procedures, Association values and quality standards.Provide supervision to the planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of the middle school and teen programs.Assist with grant writing during the summer months.Act as the Branch's liaison with the school administration and faculty.Work directly with school personnel liaison to maintain an active and efficient method of communication between the school and Association, and ensure all issues can be addressed promptly.Manage the upkeep of records that are essential to control, evaluation and reporting.Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of outlining monthly and annual reports on the activities of the Association After School Program at GCHS.Provide guidance to all Association After School Program at GCHS staff and volunteers in an effort to ensure the program is delivered within the pre-determined guidelines (inclusive of budgetary guidelines.)Plan and implement leadership curriculum on a weekly basis at the branch.Convene and chair regularly scheduled meetings to plan program, review program status and conduct training in program content, as well as discuss any issues related to staff's caseloadManage any program component involving parents / guardians.Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings and special events.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.Minimum of two years of experience managing teen programs.Comfortable with supervising and managing successful staff teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be well organized and able to handle shifting priorities.Bilingual skills a plus.Salary:$40,163 - $50,203HOW TO APPLYWe offer an exciting and innovative work environment with an organizational culture committed to serving all members of our community.
