GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

 

F.Y. Eye seeks a Program Director to play a critical role in helping to shape and advance our next phase of growth. This exciting position is ideal for an ambitious manager and non-profit leader. The successful candidate will work independently, running the day-to-day operations of the organization, including the development, management and execution of innovative campaigns. It is a unique opportunity for a versatile and creative entrepreneur who is passionate about social change to build a team and implement organizational strategies that will enable F.Y. Eye to achieve its vision and mission.

                    

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:

 

F.Y. Eye is a nonprofit organization that is co-located within a charitable group that is an important center for innovative and creative work. We work with many of NYC’s vital nonprofits and government agencies to build public awareness about social service programs through public service announcements delivering high-quality, high-impact messages.

 

Since 2005, organizations have entrusted us to communicate their important messages more effectively and on an affordable budget. F.Y. Eye’s mission is to generate increased awareness of social issues through a broad range of creative advertising vehicles.

 

Our vast understanding of the dynamic market enables us to be both strategic and effective in creatively positioning our clients in front of a wider audience to have sustained impact and that catalyze change for good.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Plan, coordinate and implement marketing campaigns and strategies through free and paid media vehicles, including social media;
  • Develop and manage new projects and revenue;
  • Assist nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies in the development of public service announcements;
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, including F.Y. Eye’s network of host institutions;
  • Oversee and direct our graphic designers, digital technology consultants, vendors and support staff;
  • Proactively initiate and manage the administration of F.Y. Eye’s contracts and ongoing client engagements;
  • Monitor, assess and report on individual campaigns’ and overall organizational impact;
  • Perform site visits to existing and prospective clients; and,
  • Build F.Y. Eye’s brand throughout the non-profit community.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, project management and interpersonal skills;
  • Entrepreneurial and creative spirit;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of various teams in a demanding and complex work environment;
  • A clear, confident and organized thought leader and communicator;
  • A skilled writer and editor;
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, organize, prioritize and coordinate day-to-day projects and assignments, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, follow up when necessary and take responsibility for completing assignments;
  • Strong experience in advertising, marketing, public relations and/or media experience;
  • Experience in media planning and buying;
  • Process and results-driven;
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities;
  • Strong computer skills as well as proficiency in graphics, web applications and social media.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
