Project Manager / Help Desk MigrationJob Category: Information Technology/Web Job Region: New York - Long IslandJob Type: Consulting/ContractDescription: Project Manager – Help Desk Migration Consultant*Major Health System – Huntington*Senior level project management position responsible for planning and execution of Health Systems’Help Desk Migration. Plans, manages and coordinates project activities to ensure goals and objectives of help desk migration project are accomplished within prescribed time-frames and funding parameters. Responsibilities: Work with department, IS, vendor and end-users/customers to outline/document Application Migration deliverables, requirements, risks, assumptions, key stakeholders, roles and responsibilities.o Application description & site using application & hours of useo High impact outage – who needs to be notifiedo Distribution list – is there an internal distro list or are there key names that need to be notifiedo Department contacts to be notified via phone§ Are there specific people to notify via phone in the event of an issue§ Are there specific hours they do not want to be calledo Interfaces – other applications that would be affected if there is an issueo Maintenance – best downtime hours to perform maintenance and what Patch Maintenance Week will the application be ono Application Support/Provisioningo Common Issueso Troubleshooting – Visio Diagram of Supporto Network Diagram – Visio Diagram of final architectureo Data Flow and I/O Map Confers with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority. Manages activities of project staff to ensure project progress is on schedule and within budget. Reviews status reports and modifies schedules and/or plans as required. Analyzes data, prepares and presents project reports for management, clients or others. Provides project staff with technical advice and problem resolution. Works closely with Technical WriterExperience/Requirements: Knowledge of project planning and management, information technology or related field as normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, required. Master’s Degree, preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years related technical experience including four (4) years of project management experience, required. Program Management Institute (PMI) Certification, preferred. Strong experience in assigned technical area (Help Desk), and in a similarly sized IT organization, required. Demonstrated experience in the 9 Project Management Institute (PMI) knowledge areas, and Program and Portfolio Management, required.Requirements: Contact This Coordinator
