Title: Small Business Sales Coach - Brooklyn Area Location: NY-Brooklyn Position Summary: The Small Business Sales Coach will provide ongoing training and sales process to facilitate the sales performance for the Small Business Segment in the distribution network. The SBSC will lead the designated Small Business Bankers in the branches, primarily Branch Managers and Personal Bankers. Position Responsibilities: Deliver branch unit and revenue goals for assigned territory. Develop and implement sales management routines, sales practices and protocols for the Small Business Segment that is managed through the Branch network. Develop long term sales and operations plans to deepen relationships and generate referrals from Small Business clients. Engage with Branch Management, Marketing, and National Sales to enhance the client experience and to implement marketing and sales campaigns to increase Client acquisition and aid retention Partner with Area and Division leadership to drive Small Business sales through Branch Managers and Personal Bankers/designated Business Specialists. Partner with Small Business management to leverage Business Bankers for credit greater than $250K. Provide expert support to the Small Business Division Director, Branch network and Clients on Small Business segment, products and services. Partner with product support team(s), merchant services, treasury, credit and segment partners to ensure alignment and seamless Client coverage in the marketplace. Ensure all sales initiatives are integrated and executed by business partners, bankers and branches Work closely with the credit/risk team and Branches to facilitate loan closings, including pipeline management, loan escalations / appeals and advocacy, application quality and pricing issues Provide / facilitate training, coaching, overall leadership and oversight to the Personal Bankers for the Small Business segment, product and services to achieve production goals, cross sell and client satisfaction Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos\" to optimize business results, and encourage overall growth of the Small Business segment. Education: Bachelor's degree in business (preferred) or equivalent work experience. Experience/Skills: * The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of sales management experience in Retail or Commercial Banking * Bachelor''s degree or equivalent work experience * Management experience preferred * Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, influence and inspire teams * Proven Influence Management skills * Proven track record of results * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong analytical/problem solving skills * Strong financial/business acumen * Able to create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, decision makers and stakeholders * Knowledge of small business banking, small business products, clients and Centers of Influence
