CBT Psychological Associates, PC takes pride in providing the upmost quality to our clients. We are seeking an entry level part-time Administrative Assistant for a busy therapy office located in Commack, NY. You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive the practice’s success. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. To start, you must be available to work Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturday from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm. Must be flexible as days and hours might increase to accommodate the changing needs of the practice.

Assist in daily office needs.
Schedule new and existing clients’ appointments.
Answer inbound telephone calls.
Develop and implement organized filing systems.
Perform all other office tasks i.e., faxing, scanning, emailing is also included.
Filing client charts.
Data entry into our computer system.
Collect co-pays from clients.
Provide support to our therapists.
Create and modify various documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Company policies and HIPAA requirements.


Ideal candidate would have customer service experience.
Office administration experience a plus.
Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under minimal supervision.
Have great interpersonal skills, i.e. ability to greet clients in a prompt, pleasant and friendly manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must be flexible: able to accommodate the changing needs of the practice.
Understands the importance of HIPAA and maintaining confidentiality; adheres to Company policies and HIPAA requirements.
