Clinical Nurse II - Medical and Surgical Unit-1800 - NorthBay Healthcare (FAIRFIELD)

Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, patients, physicians, and co-workers. Ability to remain flexible and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing care for patients in the following age groups: infant through the school aged adolescent, adult and geriatric.
The Clinical Nurse is responsible, accountable and has the authority to deliver nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Division of Nursing. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individual patient care. The registered nurse makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient and family to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. The nurse modifies and delivers care that is specific to the special behaviors/needs of the infant through school aged adolescent, adult and geriatric patient within the scope of service of the Medical - Surgical - Telemetry Units. Distribution of staff and patients may require reassignment on a shift by shift basis to other nursing areas.
