CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
1) Experience in a Healthcare provider (hospital) environment within the last year.
2) Experience with a major Report Development Tool (Crystal, OBIEE, Cognos, BO, etc.).
3) Experience with Clinical Data (i.e. procedures, diagnosis, etc).
4) Experience in Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing.
NOTE: This is NOT an EMR or clinical application project. This is a Business Intelligence project reporting on clinical data.
Job Description:
One of our major Healthcare clients in NYC is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join their reporting and analytics team. In speaking with the hiring manager, there are multiple projects focused on the improvement, quality and availability of health data within the Health systems clinical information systems and the exchange of that data between the health system and their health insurance partners.
The Data Analyst must have experience with a variety of Business Intelligence tools like Cognos, OBIEE, SAP Business Objects, etc. Theres a variety of Business Intelligence tools present at the client site so the more exposure the Data Analyst has to various tools the better. On a day to day basis the successful candidate will be working with large, multivariate datasets, using programming software packages such as SQL, SQL Scripts, Oracle x (9, 10, 11), RDBMS Tools (TOAD), Oracle Discoverer. There will be a significant amount of data collection from EMR (Electronic Medical Records) that must be analyzed and reported on.
As a part of the health systems Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing initiatives, there must be a formal method of reporting and analyzing the health data the analyst will be working with, so experience working in the development, analysis and implementation of information systems in a health-care environment or analyzing health data is necessary.
Requirements:
-Solid experience working with large, multivariate datasets, using programming software packages such as SQL, SQL Scripts, Oracle x (9, 10, 11), RDBMS Tools (TOAD), Oracle Discoverer
-Experience with data collection from electronic medical records and data analysis required
-Prior Healthcare Informatics experience working in the development, analysis and implementation of information systems in a health-care environment or analyzing public health data is necessary.
-Knowledge of or experience in Health Care/Service delivery, Quality Management, and Managed Care preferred.
-Familiarity with Healthcare Industry trends HITECH Act, Meaningful Use, Core Measurers.
-Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Access. Ability to create and run MS/Access queries preferred.
-Relational Database Concepts.
-Experience with a variety of Business Intelligence Solutions IBM Cognos, Oracle OBIEE, Microsoft Sharepoint, SAP Business Objects, Information Builders and the like preferred.
