KIP:Kull Initiative for Psychotherapy

Salary: $12/hour

Kull Initiative for Psychotherapy (KIP) is committed to providing psychotherapy services to the diverse needs of New York City. We are looking for someone with administrative experience to add to our team and help our business grow. This is a great opportunity for students studying healthcare administration or those seeking experience in mental health services settings.
Those with an LMSW or MHC-LP are eligible to get supervised clinical hours for state licensure.

Responsibilities include:

Perform regular and ongoing duties such as data entry, systems audits (maintaining and reviewing clinician chart entries, patient payments, and session stats), preparing reports, completing projects, and other clerical tasks.
• Assist with insurance reimbursement for client sessions. Submitting claims, communicating with insurance companies, and maintaining records of insurance payment and client copayments.
• Assist executive director with scheduling, communications, creating marketing materials, responding to emails.
• Monitoring and replying to phone calls and emails.
• General office upkeep and ordering office supplies.
• Facilitate communication between the director, staff, and clients to improve customer service and quality of care.
• Maintain and audit practice software, website, social media, and other forms of communication with the community (agencies, providers, stakeholders).
• Marketing, outreach, and sales.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
• Familiarity and/or interest in working in health care settings.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability and/or aptitude in performing basic WordPress functions (update site, post blogs, etc).
• Experience and/or aptitude in basic data entry, budgeting, and bookkeeping (excel, quickbooks, SPSS, etc.).
• Experience conducting screenings/intakes with potential clients (with a masters degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related discipline).
• Comfortable with marketing and sales environments.

• Ability to adhere to HIPPA and other regulations/policies related to client privacy, confidentiality, and safety.
• Mature, prompt, reliable, timely, and trustworthy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude with computers and technology (Mac, word/pages, excel, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum).

$12/hour for minimum 20 hours a week; some tasks may be done remotely. Possibility for incentives (promotion, full-time status, benefits) if performance is linked to increased sales/revenue and organizational growth.
