Pediatric Nurse - (Peds RN - Pedi RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 11.5 N Pay Rate: $28.00 *
This environment is a cheerfully decorated area is staffed by registered nurses with specialized training, and pediatricians who are board certified or board eligible. The facility is a teaching hospital, pediatric resident physicians are also involved in the care of patients. Parents are encouraged to be involved with their child's care; the staff is always available to answer questions and to make the stay less stressful for all family members. Parents are further encouraged to be with their children at any time during the day and overnight.
The role of the pediatric nurse (Pedi RN / Peds RN) is to provide comprehensive, age-appropriate care to patients aged approximately 30 days to 18 years. Working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, pediatric nurses specialize in providing age-appropriate care for children with a variety of physical and mental disabilities and/or acute and chronic medical and surgical conditions. The Pedi RN also collaborates with the patient's family to best promote healthful practices and disease prevention.
