Position includes 2 or 3 weekdays and Saturdays, 9am-5pm

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Main Responsibilities

A) Director of Weekend Drop-Off Program
*Coordinating program staff and volunteers and supervising program implementation.
*Direct facilitation of activities and supervision of participants as needed.
*Maintaining participant records and database including individualized care plans and quarterly notes.
*Corresponding with participants and family caregivers
*Maintaining attendance records for program and submitting monthly billing requests to the
*Supervision of program assistant staff.

B) Lead Caregiver Support Groups
*Facilitate group for caregivers during Saturday program

C) Conduct Intake Assessment for LIAF Programs
*Meet with families, assess clients, make referrals and complete written intake assessments.

2. Additional Duties
A. General Social Work Responsibilities
*Field “counseling calls” and “walk in” inquiries from clients.
*Assist with scheduling, coordinating and implementing staff training that complies with NYS Office of the Aging regulations for Social Adult Day Programs.
B. General Staff Responsiblities
*Attend staff meetings; outreach activities and special events.


1) Required: MS/MA Degree in related field and 3 years related work experience. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. Experience supervising interns and volunteer staff. Experience with the elderly population. Must be proficient in MS Office.
2) Preferred: MSW Degree; NYS License in Social Work; at least 3 years post MSW work experience.
