The Quality Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities In addition, you will:
* Plan, organize, implement and direct the application of assigned human and material resources to assure delivery of products and/or services that meets established requirements and fulfills customers' needs and expectations
* Maximize the use of assigned resources to assist GE in meeting its quality, schedule and profit objectives
* Establish goals, work plans, and budgets such that lowest cost and highest quality results are achieved
* Assure that unit activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements
* Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements
* Analyze product losses, material review activity, manufacturing costs and maintain programs to meet objectives
* Provide quality plans to monitor and report quality delays, control and monitor significant out of tolerance gages
* Develop and maintain a communication plan to provide employees with adequate information concerning business goals and objectives
* Establish the climate that encourages an open two-way channel of communication whereby employees exchange ideas / suggestions and share information
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited college or university
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality System Planning and Quality Improvement methods
Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

* Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification (GE Employees only)

GE Aviation - Electrical Power, LI is a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of custom-engineered power conversion and cockpit control panels. Located on Long Island, one hour east of New York City and next to Long Island MacArthur Airport, EP-LI is a predominately US Military supplier providing equipment for a wide variety of land based and aircraft applications including air transport, rotorcraft and military fixed wing. We have been servicing major customers of Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and General Dynamics for more than 40 years. Our staff of dedicated professionals has consistently applied creative engineering solutions to support mission critical requirements. These solutions have repeatedly been successfully applied with state of the art manufacturing techniques in both high and low volume production programs. Our site is housed in a 94,000 square foot facility, designed specifically to provide vertical integration of the broad range of capabilities required to give us control of all aspects of the design, development, manufacturing and test of products. These capabilities include: computer aided design center, transformer manufacturing capability, sheet metal fabrication department, fully integrated assembly and testing, as well as a complete environmental testing laboratory.
