Scheduler, Radiology (Ultrasound) - Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY)

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education. Organizes and distributes all out patient ultrasound paperwork to Radiologist for protocol, modifies procedure code as needed. Resolves overbooking issues in the schedule. Provides coverage for when co-workers are absent, performing their job responsibly. Greets visitors to the department, answers telephones and processes calls. Schedules all ultrasound and interventional/biopsy procedures for main campus Ultrasound Department. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting and directing all incoming visitors; answering assigned phone lines and directs calls; inputting and updating data into databases; assisting in the preparation, processing and maintenance of records and reports; preparing patient paperwork prior to procedure; notifying traffic person of patients to be scheduled; checking patient''s lab results are available prior to scheduled exam, crosschecking the schedule with orders received and follows up with physician if order is not in place; takes complete patient information over the phone and reviews written orders for completeness and accuracy.
