JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the administration of company benefit plans including medical, dental, defined contribution, FSA, life, disability, workers’ compensation, transit, leave of absence, employee referral program and employee discount programs.

Communicate information to employees and former employees regarding benefit plans, procedures, changes and government-mandated disclosures
Maintain benefit related information in company’s Human Resource Management System (HRMS)
Process all benefits enrollments, changes and terminations
Prepare monthly invoices for benefit plans
Conduct weekly orientation to disseminate benefits information to newly hired employees
Manage employee terminations in HRMS system. Notify COBRA Administrator when necessary ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond to employee inquiries in a timely and thorough manner
Track benefit eligibility and send notification of status changes to employees
Manage COBRA administration including oversight of third party COBRA Administrator
Administer payroll deductions, refunds and additional benefit adjustments
Assist benefits team with Workers’ Compensation, disability and FMLA cases. Maintain OSHA compliance including annual updating and posting of OSHA Log
Perform regular audits of insurance invoices
Educate new in-club managers on benefit policies and procedures
Track medical claims data on a daily basis
Coordinate resolution of escalated participant health insurance claims issues
Assist benefits team with the annual renewal and Open Enrollment projects
Maintain knowledge of Federal & State laws as they pertain to benefits
Assist Benefits Manager with projects as needed
Perform all other duties as necessary QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements. 1-3 years of benefits administration experience with a good knowledge of employee benefit plans, including health & welfare, defined contribution, disability, workers’ compensation and Sec. 125 plans
Demonstrate a high level of accuracy. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic. Possess the ability to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Top-notch customer service and follow-up skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
