Description
The P&A group is responsible for coordinating financial activities with the Corporate and LOB Risk finance teams. The group manages the annual budget, mid-year and other monthly forecast processes. The group also manages and/or leads financial/strategic projects and key analyses to provide insight and decision support to the Risk Management leadership team.
Responsibilities
Support all aspects of financial and management reporting including budgeting, expense management/reporting, as well as allocations to the LOBs:
Assist in tracking Corporate Risk's budget as part of the Firm's overall annual budget process
Partner with LOB Risk teams to regularly compile and communicate information about Corporate and Firmwide Risk Management budgets and expenses
Ensure budget forecast updates are provided to Corp P&A in a timely fashion
Assist in the production of month-end management reports for distribution to Risk Executives
Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis to prepare for monthly management meetings and business reviews
Assist in the analysis of business financial trends, research issues and respond to inquiries to help provide insight and decision support to Risk senior management
Support budget review meetings with the LOBs to explain Corporate Risk's allocations
Support ad hoc analytic projects and requests
Ensure data integrity, timeliness and accuracy in all reporting and forecasting
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree, preferably with a finance or business major
3 or more years of financial experience in a medium to large diverse organization
Experience in JPM Chase businesses or in finance roles strongly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral; comfortable working with all levels of management within Risk
Strong analytical skills; detail/control oriented, knowledge of ability to navigate multiple systems to solve problems
Excellent organizational skills
Self starter; comfortable working independently to meet deadlines
Good PC skills: Excel and PowerPoint skills essential
Experience with/knowledge of corporate financial systems a plus (including CMR/ESSBASE/SAP)
