Publicist - Penguin Group USA (New York, NY)

Putnam/Amy Einhorn Books, imprints of Penguin Group (USA), are currently seeking a Publicist to execute independent publicity campaigns and multi-city author tours while developing and maintaining relationships with the media. In addition, the Publicist will: Secure national and regional media in major tour markets Develop and maintain relationships with producers, editors, and book reviewers, and discover new media outlets Create press materials Coordinate and implement all aspects of national and regional author tours Attend meetings with booksellers and media on behalf of the department. Requirements: Minimum 3 years prior publicity experience Ability to travel up to 4 times per year via plane and/or train Established media contacts at the local and national level Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in fast-paced deadline driven environment Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Proficiency Publicity Assistant and Cision MediaSource (Bacon’s) a plus Putnam and Amy Einhorn Books are home to best-selling authors including: Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Dolly Parton, Patricia Cornwell, Sue Grafton, Kathryn Stockett, Robert B.
