This is a B D Line boring set ready to put to use, the bar is not shown I believe we have bar that is just under 8 foot. As you can see this system was changed over to be like the Climax as for the mounting. The bar is a nice B & D bar in the tube.

Selling my 100% Authentic Papa Bear Chair and Ottoman designed by Hans Wegner. This chair is in pretty darn good condition considering its age. One of the front legs is a tiny bit loose but this doesn't affect anything at all as the chair is very solid and extremely comfortable to lounge in. I also took close up shots of the arms as you can see they have wear but can certainly be refinished if that is something you are interested in doing. The chair was professionally reupholstered about 10 years ago in a grey Knoll fabric, the color goes incredibly well with basically any decor or color scheme and it is very neutral. I personally think it is the best color you can get for a Papa Bear Chair. You will also notice form the pictures that it is stamped and labeled Hans Wegner with the number 16 also stamped on the chair, again this is a very old true collectors vintage piece. Approx. 36"w x 38"d x 39"h Ottoman is 16 1/2" h, 16" w, and 27 3/4" long.

Lastly, this is an incredibly hard piece of furniture to find so don't miss out on this piece.

For sale is an exclusive 1987 Yamaha Limited Edition Carbon Custom Snare Drum 3.5 x 14 made to commemorate Yamaha 100th Anniversary.

This Snare Drum is #5 of 5.

Includes: the original vintage airport snare drum case made specifically for this marvel, protection velcro pad also made for the drum, and the three dampening rings that came in the package.

This limited carbon custom snare drum has gold plated hardware, aluminum diecast hoops, and parallel snare strainer for maximum adjustability.

This drum #5 of 5 in which I purchased years ago from a long time friend and professional drummer in Japan, making me the second person in North American to own this drum - next after Tommy Aldridge.

#1 is property of Tommy Aldridge who was the top Yamaha endorsed artist in 1987.

#2 is property of Yamaha and is on display at the Yamaha museum in Japan.

#3 and # 4 are owned by professional drummers in Japan.

In 1987, Yamaha wanted to commemorate their 100th anniversary of the company, so they put a crazy amount of money into a research and development project of super limited run carbon fiber snare drums. These carbon fiber drums made by Yamaha were not the same as modern mass produced carbon fiber snare drums you see with companies such as DW, Dunnett, Tempus, Rocketshell, etc. Back in the 80s, carbon fiber was hand laid and hand woven, and was extremely costly and very labor intensive. Yamaha made 2 drum sets from carbon fiber and it cost nearly $45,000 USD back in 1987 just for the shells. This would easily be twice that much money in today's market more then 20 years later. These drums were not made to create profit, but were made in light of muscial advancement and bragging rights between drum makers. As you know, Yamaha drums are the best in the industry. When talking to the drum expert at Yamaha, he told me they actually lost astronomical amounts of money producing these drums and again were only made to mark the top of the line in the drum market. They were simply much too expensive and far too labor intensive to make them remotely profitable. Tama and Sonor had many high end snare drums in the 1980s, but Yamaha never made its high end debut. This carbon fiber snare drum set the bar as their most exclusive drum ever built. Described by Yamaha as, "our best interpretation of building a drum and sparing no expense" which is also similar to their PHX concept.

When it comes to it's sound, the lows and highs are extended so greatly over the drum shell that it sounds absolutely incredible. It has wonderful projection with tons of body and response. The goal of the Yamaha Carbon Custom was to connect the acoustic world with the digital sound system, mic'd, live, and recording. It is the most balanced and most flexible snare drum I have ever play in my 20 years. Especially in terms of tuning and how easy it is to record the drum the way you want it to sound. It is essentially like a pre EQ'd snare drum so regardless of what tuning range, it will sound balanced. It is definitely one of the most rare, high end snare drums you can possibly purchase today.

Tommy Aldridge was one of the most well known, and only American, Yamaha endorsed drummer that received one of these snare drums. Later one of the full drum sets he was given was returned to the Yamaha museum for display. These drums that yamaha made were so great in tuning range that it extended the lows and highs of the drum like the wood ply drums have never been able to do. The build quality of this carbon fiber snare drum is very similar to modern day hand woven carbon fiber that goes on very exotic vehicles like the Lexus LFA ($500,000) car. This is definitely the most rare, most elusive Yamaha Snare Drum that one can possibly have in their collection, and it is one of a kind. Sounds nothing like any metal, wood, mass produced carbon fiber snare drum you have heard. It is in a league of its own. It is so great with its tuning range that it makes this 3.5 x 14 sound almost like a 14x5.5, 14x6.5 snare drum. Yamaha was experimenting with the sizes of this snare drum and their optimal frequencies and this was their release of the most versatile and best sounding snare drum that was to challenge the vintage Tama bell brass, and Sonor bell bronze snare drums. Even today, there are no other snare drums that come even close to what Yamaha did in the late 1980s with this, producing their most labor intensive, costly, project that they had ever embarked on. Due to the extremely high cost and unprofitable financial margins, they immedietely stopped producing this snare drum after the five were made.

For sale is one pair of JBL 4350 speakers plus one Audio Research EC-21 tube active crossover. I am selling these for an retired elder friend who had this system for years in his former home but he sold the house and had them in storage at my garage for the last year. He is the second owner of these speakers. This is a bi-amp system that requires active crossover set at 250Hz crossover point. The original JBL crossover is NOT included when he first got the system. It was replaced with a superior Audio Research EC-21 tube crossover that includes three 12AX7 tubes.

There are FIVE drivers per speaker/channel, all AlNiCo magnets:

1 x 2231A 15" woofer
1 x 2231A 15" woofer
1 x 2202A 10" mid-bass
1 x 2440 2" throat compression driver
1 x 2405 slot tweeter
1 x 2311 round metal horn
1 x 2308 acoustic lens

Due to inconsistent temperatures in the garage over the year, the surrounds of all four woofers have been deteriorated with ripped seams. Cones are in fine condition. Expect expense to renew surrounds but well worth it for speaker of such caliber.

I was told the internal wires have been replaced with Monster cables for better sound.

All drivers are from original speakers. Woofers have been reconed years ago and look to be in good condition--check pictures. I still have three original boxes for the woofers.

The sound of this system is amazing. I was able to listen to the whole thing when it was set up in a bi-amp system. The bass was driven by a Krell KSA-100 amp and the treble was driven by an ARC D79 tube amp. The sound was glorious, lush midrange, powerful dynamic bass (double 15" woofers, what do expect!!), sweet extended high. Panoramic soundstage and cinematic presentation just like the best in horn speakers. If you haven't heard a horn system with double woofers, you haven't lived!

In the early 1970s, dick clark productions was moving to new offices. American Bandstand’s Producer approached Roy Rising, the show’s sound mixer, with an offer. “In a closet there’s an old microphone that Dick used for voice recording. It’s no longer needed, do you want it?” Rising said to bring it to the next videotape session so he could decide.

The mic turned out to be a very nice Neumann U 67 made in 1962. It was complete with shock mount/cable assembly and power supply with AC cord. All that was missing was the original gray box for the mic. Since then, this gem has seen very little use. It has been tested and continues to deliver the excellent sound for which it is famous. The same K 67 capsule type is used in the modern U 87Ai.

This system has been recently tested and is working just fine.

Presented for sale are:
One Neumann U 67 microphone S/N 1076
One Neumann UC 6 Shock mount /25’ cable assembly
One Neumann NU 67u power supply S/N 877 with 6’ AC cord
One Rosewood box with fitted velvet insert
One 1961 Single-page Neumann new product announcement sheet and One 1966 24-page Neumann Condenser Microphones catalog, both from Rising’s personal collection
One 8-page bound copy of Neumann’s March 1966 U 67 brochure
One Single-page Neumann U 67 General Information sheet
One Copy of the Georg Neumann GmbH date of manufacture letter to Rising
Five New Amperex (USA) 6267/EF86 vacuum tubes made in Holland

Also included is a Notarized affidavit of Provenance from Rising, explaining the mic’s history, and a photo from Bandstand’s credits identifying Rising as “Audio” – the sound mixer.

He's offering his exceptionally beautiful Gibson Historic '59 Les Paul R9 with a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. It's a 2003 with a stunning Flamed tiger stripe Figured Maple top with a Mahogany back, that magic combination that's a standard for all high end guitars. The Flame just POPS with the Washed Cherry finish! An added bonus is that it's relatively light weight, 8.3 lbs! This guitar is in excellent like new condition, no dings, no dents, etc, as you can see in the pics. Tom has never even taken this guitar out of he house to gig with, he's got a wide selection of guitars, but this one was just to rare, too precious. This is totally complete, all the case candy, Certificate of Authenticity, the original Lifton Hardshell brown case with the pink plush lining, it's all here, folks! This is the Holy Grail for those not lucky (or rich) enough to have one of the original '59s, and clearly one of the nicest and rarest of the R9 bunch! Totally clean, great finish, Brazilian Rosewood board, totally complete! Your dream is here, come get some!

Beautiful pair of McIntosh MC75 vacuum tube 75 watt monoblock amplifiers

These units are original vintage, probably built in the late 1960's or early 1970's. Even though they are old, they look brand new and they work as if they WERE brand new. These amplifiers are very low time, and in mint condition. They are guaranteed for one year, and have brand new NOS General Electric 6550 output tubes. Additionally, they come with GE and RCA front-end and driver tubes, all testing like new. These beautiful amps have been checked, and all internal operating voltages have been verified to be within 2% of the McIntosh schematic reference voltages. This includes the critical grid bias voltage, the screen voltage for the output tubes, the supply voltages for the small tubes as well as the main supply voltage of 460 volts. Each amplifier has had the old selenium rectifier replaced with a long-lasting silicon diode / resistor combination. The main in-rush limiter has been replaced with a new modern unit. These two parts are the only parts (other than the tubes) that tend to go bad with time. They easily deliver all the performance that McIntosh designed into them, operating as if they came off the assembly line yesterday. They sound great, no hum, work flawlessly, and meet or exceed every McIntosh specification, including distortion, noise, frequency response and output power at four, eight, and 16 ohms.
