We are seeking an Intellectual Property Counsel to function out of our Florham Park, NJ location.
Intellectual Property Counsel (1705081) : Florham Park, NJ

If you are selected as the successful candidate for this position, you will be expected to provide high:quality legal support in a timely and effective manner. You will directly interact with a broad range of BASF business units, providing contractual support for contracts involving intellectual property ("IP") issues. Your primary day:to:day responsibilities will be to review, negotiate, and draft IP:related contracts including:
: Confidentiality agreements with universities, research organizations, commercial partners and private sector institutions to implement long:term strategic and commercial objectives for the subject IP;
: Material transfer agreements covering early:stage, proprietary chemistry and/or biotechnology materials and/or products;
: Service agreements; and
: Consultant agreements.

Qualifications : BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success : What We Look for in You....
: JD degree and a license to practice law in at least one US state is required.
: Admission to practice before the USPTO is preferred.
: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.
: Background and/or experience in chemistry, biotechnology, or biology is preferred.
Relocation assistance is available for this position.
