This role has responsibility for designing and architecting traditional web and real-time web applications, APIs, and back-end systems. You''ll work directly with product management and the editorial teams to define, prioritize, estimate, and plan development work. This job will be initially focused on a new product that is built on a Node.js/Redis/Cassandra/Backbone.js stack, but will have the opportunity to work on our other technology stacks on future projects.
What you need:
-Passionate about software development and web technologies.
-Enjoy being a full stack, polyglot developer.
-Knows languages and technologies at all levels of our application stack.
-Expert Node.js, Backbone.js, and/or web sockets.
-Expert level HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
-Expert Apache, Linux, and MySQL skills.
-Varnish, memcache, nginx, content distribution networks, and/or other caching experience.
-Extensive experience with NoSQL databases.
-Experience building systems that scale to thousands of concurrent users.
-Experience architecting and implementing complex -oreal time-? web software and/or messaging systems.
-Experience with bug tracking, continuous integration, and other productivity enhancement software.
What''s Desired:
-Experience writing automated tests (unit/blackbox).
-Experience with PHP/Drupal.
