The Co:op Engineer will perform the following functions:
:Prepare new drawings and revisions to existing drawings by AutoCAD. Familiarity and experience with AutoCAD, Windows and Microsoft Office software is preferred.
:Assist experienced engineers in the performance of investigations, prepare as:built sketches, witness inspections during the course of construction, prepare specifications, studies, evaluations, cost estimates, bills of materials, participate in meetings and prepare designs. Assignments may involve the upgrade and improvement of existing transmission and distribution substations or the design of new transmission and substation foundations, structures and site civil construction.
:Participate in field activities at overhead and underground transmission facility locations throughout the service territory as part of investigations, design development and construction technical support.
:Must be a full time student at Cornell University, participating in the Cornell University School of Engineering Co:op Program, with a working knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel and Word.
