REO Specialist Tracking Code 20120069 Job Description REO Specialist: Responsibilities: Manage assigned REO properties to obtain the highest price in the shortest time. Determine vacancy status, property condition, value and other necessary data by physically inspecting the property and/or obtaining the data from appraisals, real estate agents, property managers, or building superintendants.  Prepare property for marketing, select and manage real estate brokers and enter into agreements for the marketing and disposition of properties. Order appraisals and broker price opinions.  Evaluate property valuation information. Manage property, including hiring and supervising service providers to ensure properties are properly maintained and secured. Manage “Cash for Keys” and evictions. Coordinate insurance claims. Review offers and counter offers; recommend approval/acceptance of offers in accordance with Bank guidelines; process and monitor all contracts and sales; ensure timely closings through the coordination of lender, broker and attorneys. Develop and implement marketing strategies to dispose of properties in accordance with Bank policy and objectives. Oversee timely payment of bills for expenses associated with owning property, such as monthly co-op maintenance fees and condominium common charges, utility bills, repairs, and general maintenance.  Retain records of disbursements (invoices/check requests) in appropriate files.  Input all necessary data and communications into REO database; maintain property files, and update monthly and quarterly reports.     Required Skills Minimum Qualifications & Training Requirements A college graduate with experience in real estate industry.  Must have a valid driver’s license.  Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.      Job Location New York, New York, United States Position Type Full-Time/Regular
