The Sales Support Associate is responsible for improving the merchandise in-stock position of the store by reviewing, researching, and correcting causes of out-of-stock merchandise. He/she will be required to improve pricing integrity through spot checks and ad spot checks. Ensures merchandise is register ready and available to the customer at the time the customer desires. Receives merchandise into the store and ships merchandise from the store. Greets customers proactively and responds immediately to support customers needing assistance. This Sales Support Associate is expected to maintain the customer experience by ensuring accurate pricing, data integrity, and store signage. In addition, responsible for ensuring that merchandise is receiving into the store and placed onto the sales floor, while maintaining cleanliness of the stock room.
• Performs line updates as communicated in the Monthly Sales Planner (MSP) in a timely manner
• Maintains an accurate fixture inventory and maintain signing and equipment backroom area
• Manages inactive and 991 inventory
• Sets storewide and event signing
• Completes price change notifications (PCN) on a timely and accurate basis
• Conducts price accuracy/ad checks as detailed in the Steps to Improved Price Accuracy program
• Communicates with the Managers on new plan-o-gram (POG) completion and merchandise resets to maintain accurate on hand count integrity
• Verifies needed corrections to complete Retail Inventory Management (RIM) on hand counts accurately
• Executes inventory control processes
• Reviews all pertinent reports and investigate issues as necessary
• Supports Web to Store orders promptly
• Controls markdowns and losses to the inventory via correct processing of Return to Vendor (RTV),
• Merchandise Return Notification (MRN), and Return Good Invoice (RGI)
• Assists in the preparation and taking of physical inventory
• Handles the proper disposal of hazardous materials
• Maintains all required logs for receipts and ship outs
• Ensures merchandise flow to floor in a timely fashion (same day)
• Maintains the stockroom in a neat, orderly and safe manner
• Ensures all merchandise is register ready, in good condition and available to the customer
• Unloads delivery trucks according to the defined procedures
• Provides support to the store team in providing superior customer service (i.e., locate merchandise, assist customers, answer phones)
• Maintains clean, organized, safe, and secure receiving, storage and patio areas to company standards
• Communicates with the store team to ensure a smooth flow of merchandise to the sales floor
• Trains associates to safely operate store's equipment; baler, forklifts, pallet jacks
• Ships and receives all merchandise coming in or leaving the store, including the physical unloading and loading of trucks
• Keys or scans all receivables into the store system, including from vendor supported items
Requirements:
• Education: no requirement
• Ability to run a forklift
• Ability to lift and move at least 20 pounds in weight to maintain flow and replenishment of merchandise
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of retail and customer service
• Ability to use email and attachment, internet/intranet and computer systems to access, modify or print information or to execute moderately complex programs or analyses
• Ability to work in stressful situations with the public and management
• Ability to read and understand written communication or instructions
