Job Category:Sales Location:New York, NY, US Job ID:819###-####4 Division:Sales US DPE East Region Audience Technical Evangelist Job Description A Technical Evangelist (TE) on the East Region Audience Team uses deep software development knowledge, engaging technical writing and persuasive presentation skills to inspire students, startups and professional developers to write code using Microsoft tools and to build apps for Windows. As a member of this elite team you will participate in Microsoft-led developer events, engage the developer community through startup weekends, meetups, user groups and Hackathons, develop relationships with community leaders and influencers and reach hundreds of thousands of developers through your branded online blog. This is a highly technical role with the mission of engaging and inspiring the broad community of developers and fostering adoption of Microsoft development tools and technologies such as Visual Studio and Windows 8 and the creation of apps and games for Windows 8, Windows Phone and Windows Azure. This role is responsible for: - Driving app development on Windows 8, Windows Phone 8 and Windows Azure - Defining and creating technical assets such as reference apps, starter kits and patterns and practices guidance for use at in-person events and online - Delivering highly impactful technical content at events and through online channels - Engaging the student, startup and professional developer communities in person and online - Developing deep relationships with community leaders and influencers Qualifications .Expertise in XAML/C# development and/or app or game development on mobile platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows Phone .Ability to communicate concepts and code in a concise and instructive manner in writing and as a presenter technical .Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience writing code .Passion for technology and software development .A Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in computer science Location: New York MSUSJOBS
