Financial Analyst - New York Post (New York, NY)

We have a dynamic, creative, and energetic team from sales to editorial. We are currently searching for a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. This position is responsible for assigned duties to ensure timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial and other information as well as providing decision support of business initiatives to leadership of various functional areas in the company. Essential Duties and Prepare and circulate weekly and monthly financial reports to management and corporate office. Assist in the annual budget process and periodic forecast updates. Assist in the month-end general ledger closing. Prepare pre-closing reviews of results prior to review by senior finance team management. Champion key elements of our Sarbanes-Oxley internal control reviews Other ad-hoc projects and analyses (as necessary). Skills and Abilities Required: Strong analytical skills. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently. Ability to develop finance and accounting processes. Detail oriented with excellent team interpersonal skills. Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & Access) is a must. Knowledge of and experience with PeopleSoft Financials and,or Hyperion software is a plus.
