What you’ll be doing...

You will be joining Verizon Up, a next level rewards program, giving wireless customers unforgettable experiences and amazing perks with some of the hottest brands in travel, sports, culinary, fitness, music and entertainment. This role will give you the opportunity to be a part of this exciting and new initiative at Verizon.

The objective of Verizon Up is;

  • Build loyalty and emotional connections to the VZ brand
  • Drive business outcomes (ex. reduce churn)
  • Position Verizon for industry disruption

The partnership team is responsible for the relationships with all rewards partners from end to end. This involves sourcing, developing, negotiating and analyzing offers. Once confirmed, the team manages the approval process of assets with the partner and reports on results. The team will use these results to enhance existing offers and attract additional partners.

The partnership marketing manager will serve as the primary marketing liaison between the partners and the internal Verizon teams. This includes but is not limited to Legal, Agency 140, Sponsorships, media, external consultants and CRM. You’ll help us source and onboard partners and make recommendations for next steps. Your skills and ideas will help us build the strongest partnership and targeting platform in the loyalty space.

Examples of ownership for the role:

mNDA’s and Contracts: Manage and track progress on all NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreements) needed for the Loyalty Program. Resolve discrepancies between legal and partner NDA team. Manage contract progress. Organize and develop repository for contracts. Manage timeline end dates and renewal processes for all contracts. Meet regularly with executors of contracts to provide updates.

Codes: Manage code acquisition, quantities and management for all partner offers. Responsible for obtaining and confirming accuracy of codes according to terms of contract including end dates.

Assets: Point of contact for all assets coming to and from partners involving working closely with partnerships, marketing, creative, sponsorships to be the point of contact with the partners and ensuring their assets are being cared for. Manage in Brand Central, Cognito and Workfront

Marketing / Media: Primary contact for social, media and CRM teams to support monthly communications, social activity and media results for partners.

Tracking: Ensure that all partner trackers are up to date and being distributed efficiently

Partner Landing Pages: Responsible for ensuring partner landing pages are compatible and built on time. Primarily liaison between partner and IT team to ensure landing page and offer is working properly.

Communication Management - Manage stakeholder and project team communications. Consolidate individual project status reports into cohesive program level reports. Manage team meetings with follow ups and prep for higher level meeting

Customer Care: Primary liaison between CRM group managing overall customer care and the partners to work to resolve customer related issues.

Sourcing: Support strategy manager to source and assess potential partner for Verizon Up. Participate in partner meetings.

What we’re looking for...

A team member with a strong growth mindset. You enjoy learning new industries and brands and establishing how a partnership can drive mutual value for two companies.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree – more impressive if you have an MBA.

  • Experience in a business development role.

  • Experience building relationships and working with a wide variety of cross industry external partners / stakeholders.

  • Desire to quickly learn new industries and brands to determine fit and value for program.

  • Digital experience and an understanding of trends and key business drivers.

  • Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories and tools for the team.

  • Sense of curiosity and desire to grow a program and add value.

  • Desire to work directly with partners.

  • Strong organizational skills and experience working in a matrix organization.
