Be a part of a team that is driving the future of revenue generating services: Connect home monetization and next generation subscription services including but not limited to premium technical support, equipment protection, password management and more for Verizon. We need an energetic, self-starter that wants to help us bring new solutions and revenue to the business. We are looking for a product manager to help us expand the Verizon Value Added Services offerings for the Consumer (VCM) and Small Business (VBM) channels. This product manager will help lead the requirements, customer experience and guide the launch of our new services for the home. This role will also have input on a host of other products being looked at for the Corporate Product Team including the monetization of connect home and IoT security.

  • Manage an existing portfolio of services currently within the organization and the planned roadmap that will help these services evolve.
  • Find new solutions that will drive additional revenues for the business units.
  • Build service requirements, define the user experience and form teams to bring new services to market.
  • Manage a diverse group of internal teams guiding them on a path for a successful launch of a new product or service.
  • Work with finance to develop business models, pricing constructs, business cases and manage legal agreements required for existing and future service offerings.
  • Develop and manage feedback loops and processes for implementing change.
  • Success in this role is defined by the increase of long term revenues and profits to the specific business units the team’s supports, successful planning and launch execution of new services Verizon will be bringing to market and improvement to the current customer experience of the services that are offered today by the business.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • An MBA.
  • Three or more years of business experience, preferred technical project/product management in Telecommunications, Wireless or related industry.
  • Self-motivation and ability to proactively work towards a goal independently.
  • Ability to present ideas effectively orally, written and graphically to individuals or groups expressing concepts, ideas and changes clearly.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies as well as identifying trends that will impact our business.
  • Ability to assess primary and secondary market research and develop products or features according to customer needs.
  • Understanding of various services offered by Verizon or other similarly situated businesses and the ability to bench market features sets.
  • Excellent skills required to compile and analyze quantitative data.
  • Experience working with multiple groups and projects simultaneously.
  • Expert problem solving skills.
  • Excel in organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in process execution, development, and deployment of products and new technologies.
  • Requirements and business case creation experience.
  • Ability to be a forward thinker, willingness to take on special projects & new initiatives.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Excellent team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Technical leadership and excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to handle escalated situations.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated track record in process execution, development, and deployment of products and new technologies.
