What you’ll be doing...

Job description

As a Solution Architect, you’ll fulfill the role of trusted adviser for Verizon Enterprise Services (VES) clients and/or potentials in proposals and consulting of solutions to address business needs. You’ll take joint ownership of assigned accounts with Client Executives and Managers, and lead account management regarding solution architecture and related matters while communicating and sharing with assigned clients details on emerging technologies that align with the service portfolio, roadmap and strategies of Verizon, with a focus on penetrating new logo accounts.

You will provide support and participate in proposals, RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, ITTs and related by putting together solutions across multi-towers (Cloud, Security, Professional Services, UC&C, etc.), supporting literature, diagrams, write-up, responses, etc. Importantly, you’ll need to continually develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Telecommunications industry and Verizon systems, processes, product offerings and services to enable effective client communications. You’ll also provide accurate account information and update management of Solution Architect and Client Management teams on a regular basis.

What we’re looking for...

Desired Skills and Experience

Seven + years’ experience in designing and implementing complex WAN solutions for Fortune 500 companies. As this is a sales role, you will develop pipelines, funnels, and carry a quota.

Advanced design and sales skills in at least three of the following:

  • Data and IP Services (MPLS, VoIP, VPN, IP PBX)
  • Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, CDN, Managed IP PBX)
  • Managed Security Solutions
  • Data Center Outsourcing (application hosting, managed storage)
  • Call Center Technologies (ACD, IVR, Customer Portal)
  • IT Applications Management (SOA, Web Services)

Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to various audiences will be key. Industry certifications specific to networking with Cisco and Juniper are essential.


  • Cisco Career Certifications or Equivalent Work Experience, CCDA/CCNA, CCNP/CCDP, CCVP
  • Microsoft, Tandberg, Polycom
