The Strategic Risk Program (SRP) is a large multiyear program that has the goal of producing bankwide intraday aggregated risk on demand enabling more effective capital allocation more effective trading decision making and more effective risk oversight across the Investment Bank The ldquoMarket Data Infrastructurerdquo stream is responsible for the rationalization of the entire lsquofront to backrsquo workflow of market data from the moment it is captured to validation storage and subsequent usage of that information bull Creation of a generic framework to allow efficient capture of internal market data bull Creation of a generic framework to allow capture of external data feeds bull Working with MDAM (Market Data Analysis Modeling) to provide a flexible mechanism to validate the captured market data (in the context of analytical ldquocorrectnessrdquo) bull Working with MDAM and QS (Quantitative Strategists) to provide a central market object building process including objects representing common scenarios bull Working with MDAM and other IT groups to create an efficient data model that is normalized against both the analytics suite and other reference and trade data repositories bull A global cache that can provide efficient retrieval of market data objects bull The retirement of all the existing legacy components and systems This is global team with members in US UK and Poland Job Description Main Duties Responsibilities bull Design and implement various components in SRP MDI bull Work with business analysts and project managers bull Involved the entire life cycle of MDI projects (including secondline support) bull Communicate design ideas and take part in peer reviews Skills and Attributes Required Common Requirement Proactive selfstarter able to pick up an issue and take ownership through to successful delivery Efficient communications with global team members and other colleagues Team player Develop and unit test code in a rapid moving and changing environment Strong design skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting Strong problem solving skills Skill and Experience bull Experience with multithreaded distributed systems bull Experience with messaging systems bull A broad understanding of database technologies bull Strong background in data analysis within complex software environments bull Capable of describing practical daytoday analysis techniques used in order to achieve goals bull 3year IB IT or 7year of nonIB IT experience bull Proficient in NET or Java (see above) bull Continuous integration experience ndash eg with Team City or Jenkins bull Experience with distributed caching a plus (eg Coherence) Specific Technical Skills Candidate must show strong skills in either NET or Java NET o Understanding of core C concepts including collections concurrency locking thread pools o Demonstrable NUnit and C testing skills o Experience with COM objects and integrating with COM objects is a plus o Experience with Excel Addins a plus o Experience with ExcelDNA a plus Java o Deep understanding of core Java libraries such as concurrency collection and networking o Demonstrable Java testing skills (eg JUnit or Mockito) o JDBC is a plus o Java2D JPA JMS are plus o One or more of followings are a plus Hadoop Cassandra MongoDB Experience with WPF GUI a plus o Established experience (at least four years) with Net (especially 40) o Expertise in UI design patterns such as MVVM Experience with Prism is a plus o Expertise in WPF including use of data templates styles and control templates o Experience in leveraging stylingtemplating and extending third party controls such as Infragistics Xceed etc Deep understanding of multithreading and realtime software architectures EducationProfessional Qualifications Essential Undergraduate degree in computer science or similar (eg math or EE)
