This position viewed as an expert in high impact area of expertise. Responsibilities include three or more of the following: 1. Provides expert consultation and guidance to field underwriters 2. Develops, administers and monitors complex underwriting rules and guidelines. 3. Investigates, recommends and leads product development efforts 4. Leads and participates on project and key initiative teams 5. Significantly contributes to process improvement and technology innovation 6. Conducts underwriting technical reviews / audits. 7. Reviews and develops policy language, including review of manuscript forms 8. Provides training support from a technical underwriting standpoint 9. Manage a specific portion(s) of a business unit from a technical sta ndpoint 10. Account financial analysis 11. Address governance and regulatory issue Job Qualifications Bachelors Degree 10 years or more of underwriting experience 1. Position requires excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills. 2. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with a broad range of people and other departments, and needs to be an effective team player. 3. Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple and varied complex assignments. 4. Position requires excellent problem solving skills.
