Job Opportunity:
The VP, Advertising Operations is a pivotal change agent on the Managed Services Management Team responsible for developing, guiding, motivating and coaching teams to their best possible level of performance each and every day. You are an analytical “thinker” who has the ability translate heaps of data into achievable action plans that produce results. Excellent client management and leadership skills are required in order to effectively manage a fast-growing portfolio of publisher and agency clients.
Responsibilities:
High Level Management of multiple operations teams (includes onshore/offshore Operations Managers and traffickers) . Day-to-day management . Coaching, development and mentoring . Recruiting, hiring and retention • Provide leadership and guidance in management of client escalations and service issues • Pre-Sales support to Sales/Sales Engineering teams to properly align our solutions to prospective clients’ business needs . Develop and implement new processes and policies to optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the Managed Services business • Closely monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and proactively implement corrective measures • Collaborate with Managed Services Management Team to manage portfolio of improvement projects . Represent Department in cross-departmental meetings and advocate for Managed Services products and services
Technical • Strong background in digital advertising technologies strongly desired (but exceptional backgrounds in technology business management and/or project management will also be considered): • Ad Servers (DFP/DFA, Atlas, OAS, etc.) or Rich Media Vendors • Trafficking o Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript • Online Video or Mobile • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office business tools needed: • Excel • PowerPoint • Word Visio . Process & Analysis . Ideation, development and management of ad trafficking processes and policies to ensure standardization and compliance with best practices • Research and analyze available data to perform resource leveling and to develop performance improvement initiatives • Pre-Sales analysis of resource requirements and costs to meet prospective clients’ business requirements • Provide input to budget projections and P&L . Partner Management • Frequent contact with service partners to ensure high level of communication and exchange of information • Serve as a point of escalation for partner service issues • Participate in weekly partner meetings • Provide EVP, Business Operations with all support required for effective partner management • Coordinate incremental training for teams as new technologies and clients are brought onboard • Provide and solicit feedback to/from partner(s) to promote improvement of onshore/offshore teams’ alignment - Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
. 5+ years of direct management experience in an online digital publisher, media agency or technology organization with strong emphasis in business management, project management and resource management . Ability and desire to work in an extremely fast-paced environment with very high transaction volumes . Extensive working knowledge of the web and the technologies that enable digital advertising, agencies and publishers . Highly self-directed with the ability to motivate others to high levels of performance . Strong knowledge of Ad Operations best practices and processes highly desired but the acumen to quickly learn them may be considered in lieu . Demonstrated skill using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint or similar tools to summarize data or create presentations . Outstanding influence, interpersonal, writing and oral communication skills . Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with deadlines
Education:
. Bachelor's degree required. Training and/or certification in project management would be a plus.
