(- Overseeing all the operations of the communications department, including managing the Communications Manager and all customer service activities
- Digital Media: Troubleshoot technical issues. Oversee the Communications Manager in developing code and posting content to the organization's web site and e-newsletters; tracking statistics; and maintaining and expanding the organization's presence on social media sites
- Media Relations: Oversee Bike New York's external public relations firm; pitching stories and fulfilling inquiries regarding the organization's activities; tracking media coverage/clips and contacts; and serving as an on-site media contact at events; respond to miscellaneous inquiries
- Event Registration: Oversee the development and implementation of the event registration system for the TD Five Boro Bike Tour and all other regional rides
- Event Materials: Develop, source, and oversee creation of materials including sponsor signage, giveaways, credentials, etc. for events and programs
- Internal Communications: Work with colleagues to ensure that various constituents receive all relevant information, including rider communications, sponsor reports, and employee intranet
- Outreach: Develop strategy and materials for tabling activities and attending meetings outside Bike New York events
- Merchandise: Oversee the development and implementation of online and event onsite merchandise plans
- Print Promotions: Develop and oversee the production of all print collateral and advertisements for the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, small rides, and bicycle education department. Source editorial, design, production, and fulfillment services as needed
- Photography and Video: Maintain the organization's photo and video resources, including tagging/cataloguing images. Hire and supervise photographers/videographers for events and programs as needed. Fulfill external and internal photo requests promptly
