What you’ll be doing...
You’ll manage a diverse team of 20+ Line Field Technicians in the placement and removal of Outside Plant infrastructure. This includes but not limited to; telephone poles, fiber and copper cable in aerial, underground and building applications. Responsibilities also include conducting field inspections, quality reviews, safety observations, daily field visits to identify and remove roadblocks while managing a daily work load with the team. Communicate effectively with employees from diverse backgrounds as well as work effectively across the organization. Come be a part of this incredible hands-on team!
• Develop action plans to mitigate service issues.
• Proactively collaborate with labor/union.
• Lead, motivate, develop and coach Technicians.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
•Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
•Four or more years of relevant work experience.
•Experience with MS Office applications to include Excel, Outlook and MS Word.
•Willingness to work extended hours when necessary, including weekends and after hours and on call.
•Valid Driver’s license.
Even better if you have:
•Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
•Four or more years of telecommunication operations or related field operations experience.
•Three or more years of supervisory experience in a field operations environment.
•Experience administering processes and policies as they relate to: code of conduct, quality assurance, productivity analysis, safety, attendance and work performance.
•Experience providing training, feedback and motivation to employees.
•Strong organizational/prioritizing skills, integrity and judgment.
•Customer service experience.
•Demonstrated ability to interpret labor contracts/collective bargaining agreements.
•Outside Plant Construction, electronics and placing/splicing copper/fiber.
•Prior experience working in a Union environment.
•Ability to think creatively and implement changes to improve business results.
