Government Works is looking for Information Security Consultants (ISSO) to work in Bohemia NY Candidates must be US citizen or permanent resident must be available to interview immediately Shall assist the Regional ISSO in protection and security of the regionwide Information Technology systems and network under the NOAA8882 by assisting in ensuring that all systems in the region are Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliant Shall serve as the third party security assessor for the Department of CommerceNational Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (DOCNOAA) ndashmandated annual and 3year Security Authorization (formerly called Certification and Accreditation) process by using NOAAs Continuous Monitoring Checklist and assist the ISSO in preparing required documentation packages Shall provide support with respect to Remediation Management activities to mitigate the risks identified through the security assessment and to work on existing Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) items (previously identified vulnerabilities) Shall support the Information Systems Security team and field System Administrators to maintain NOAA baseline security configurations on ER systems and check if all the security patches and service packs are appropriately installed on ER systems the contractor shall also assist the ISSO in reviewing monthly and quarterly scan results to oversee field offices security status and fix actions The contractor shall assist the ISSO in preparing security plans policies guidelines and standards for ER systems and system users in order to implement DOCNOAA security directives and policies Shall provide technical assistance on short and longterm security projects for example HSPD12CAC card enabling on ER systems NOAA monthlyquarterlyannual security requirements audit followup and various data calls Shall provide support in updating outdated IT Security info on Intranet and Wiki sites and for new security initiatives in order to improve or automate security processes Note Please forward me your updated resume in MS word format and with full contact details if you wish to apply for this position
