Network Security Engineer - Randstad Technologies (New York, NY)

Job Function and Key Duties Responsibilities Looking for a Network Security Engineer to provide engineering support for firewalls proxies and related network security appliances This group is responsible for the planing architecture detailed design development and security for our network This includes deployment validation responding to emergency troubleshooting performing optimization analysis and after hours support for security incidents The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for Performing analysis of network security needs and contribute to the design integration and installation of hardware and software Working closely with Operations Teams to help maintainupgrade network security infrastructure Analyzing troubleshooting and correcting network problems Ensuring network communications across the security perimeter adhere to security policies Troubleshooting and resolving all firewall and proxy issues Troubleshooting traffic passing firewalls and proxies via logs and packet captures Facilitating security audit processes Automating manual security tasks Remediation and prevention of Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) Must have a strong technical foundation in networking and network security defense in depth and be able to handle multiple client facing projects Excellent documentation and communication skills are required to interface with other employees who are both technical and nontechnical Required Qualifications 5+ years related experience in a enterprise or service provider environment Strong current Fortinet and BlueCoat experience at the enterprise level required Experience with multiple site firewall installations including highly available clusters required UNIXLinux scripting Experience with ACLs preferred Strong troubleshooting problemsolving and analytical abilities including packet capture analysis Strong indepth technical knowledge in security engineering computer and network security strong authentication and security protocols Knowledge of network routing and security protocols and implementations TCPIP SSL IPSEC VPN SSL VPN VLANs Thorough knowledge of TCPIP routers firewalls and security devices Ability to deal with changing priorities and multitask several projects Experience in building network management tools and creating detailed documentation The individual should work well under pressure grasp new ideas quickly and be able to thrive in a dynamic and diverse environment Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills Randstad Technologies is an EOEMFVD and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Randstad Holding nv a 225 billion global provider of HR services and the second largest staffing organization in the world
