Based in Newark, New Jersey, as the Quality Assurance Manager, you will manage the quality assurance team at Bombardier's Newark Service Delivery Center. You will be accountable for the successfully and safe operation of the AirTrain system.
In your role you will:
: Coordinate, develop and implement a Total Quality Management System for the Newark service delivery center including ISO 9001 and 14001 to assist in the maintenance of system operations;
: Manage and enforce site configuration policies and procedures;
: Assist the engineering department on reviewing and editing maintenance procedures/manuals, work instructions, process specifications;
: Support the service ability/reliability of the system and make recommendations for hardware/procedural changes that become evident during analysis of performance and data;
: Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures;
: Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data;
: Document testing procedures, methodologies and auditing processes and procedures;
: Direct the development and administration of training programs for the enhancement of workmanship skills;
: Enforce all company safety rules and promote a positive safety culture.
As our ideal candidate:
: You hold a Bachelor's degree preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering or related discipline;
: You possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an engineering or quality assurance capacity in the following industries: industrial, transportation, automotive, and/or maintenance services;
: You have experience developing and implementing processes;
: You are familiar with ISO9001 and 14001 standards;
: You possess strong leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills;
: You demonstrate the ability to interpret financial and performance data;
: You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self:motivated;
: You adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline:oriented environment;
: You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
: You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co:workers and cross:functional teams;
: Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent;
: You are able to lift forty to fifty (40:50) pounds unassisted;
: You demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
