Job Responsibilities Work as part of a team maintaining our datacenter (servers, network devices, firewalls, SANs) and provide second level support for problems.Provide network/system design & implementation services for clients.Install, support and configure Storage Area networks (SAN). Fiber Channel Over Ethernet (FCOE) experience is a plus.Install, support and configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls as well as all necessary security applications. Good practice in providing ongoing network maintenance, including updates and security patches.Achieve and maintain vendor certifications in a variety of areas (i.e: EMC, Cisco, Check Point, Vmware).Commitment to continuous learning of new technologies.Onsite clients work is required (clients are in the NY/NJ area). Candidate Qualifications 5+ years experience deploying and managing a Cisco infrastructure, especially in user distributed environment.Experience with EMC products (VNX, Datadomain, Networker). EMC Certifications are a plusAbility to work efficiently with new network environments of new clients, able to review and understand configuration and provide network engineering recommendations.A good understanding of wireless networks and wireless security practices in LAN and WAN implementation of wireless architecture is a plus.Monitor, evaluate, and solve potential network performance issues. Manage Cisco infrastructure-related and other network requests and problems in the field. Support customers via email, telephone, and face-to-face interaction. Ability to problem solve new foreign network.Qualified candidates should have well rounded experience with full network diagnosis, configuration and problem resolution.Develop and maintain documentation related to the installation, administration, and maintenance of network infrastructureComprehensive knowledge administering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, RDP, MS IIS, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server, & Active Directory Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco switches and routers, Cisco PIX/ASA & VPN concentrators, Cisco ACE Load Balancers, Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco UCS, SAN Switching, FCOE protocol, Dynamic Routing protocols (EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, etc.), VOIP, Check Point Firewalls, EMC Clariion and VNX SANs Evaluate new network technology. Assist with the planning and design of future network architecture wired and Wireless.Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.Experience with virtualization software and VMWARE a plusManage the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, SANS, hardware, software, operating systems. Experience in deployment and Administration of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with security principles, penetration testing, vulnerability testing, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley a plus.Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Windows 2000/2003/2008 highly desirable.Ability to interface with clients for technical and no-technical questions. Required Certification Cisco C CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE must be active
