The St. Bart's Players, New York City's longest-running community theater, is seeking an experienced Set Designer for its upcoming production of You Can't Take it With You.

The show runs for 6 performances at the Hudson Guild Theatre on West 26th Street between 9th and 10th avenues from April 18 - 22. Load-in begins Monday, April 9 at 5pm; strike follows the April 22nd performance at approximately 5pm.

Responsibilities include:

Handling design and major construction of the set and all set components off-site, with delivery by load-in date.
Providing set pieces and furniture, and coordinating delivery, pick-up and return of same with Producer(s) and Stage Manager.
Overseeing set dressings.
Consulting with Props Master on nature and delivery of props.
Overseeing (or working with a Technical Director) to supervise load-in, set assembly and post-production strike immediately following the last performance.
Being available to troubleshoot any problems with the set or any of its components during the run of the show.
Restoring the performance venue to its original state after each night of use during the tech process—and at the conclusion of the run—as per the rules set forth by the venue.
