Job Responsibilities and Requirements: seeking an Systems Engineer who will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the application environment as well as providing second level support of the Instructional Improvement Systems IIS suite of applications. Candidates must have experience managing Windows-based application environments in an interactive production infrastructure, as well as a full understanding of configuration, performance optimization, and maintenance of Windows, IIS,. NET Framework, and general IP networking. The Systems Engineer is ultimately responsible for the performance uptime of the application hosting and development facilities as well as the contributing to the design and planning of new hosting services. Successful candidates will be motivated team players, passionate about being involved in all aspects of technology, creative problem solvers, detail-oriented nature with a strong sense of ownership, able to prioritize multiple projects and have strong communication skills. On-call and weekend work on a rotating schedule will be required. This position will report to the Hosting Operations Manager. QUALIFICATIONS Technical Experience Required - General working knowledge with Storage Resource Management NAS and SAN Technologies - Possess a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings DNS, Security, IP Routing, FTP, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, etc - Experience in management and deployment of load balancers F5 preferred - Minimum of 3-5 years of hosting operations experience in a midsize to large environment - Provide daily operations support and maintenance for Windows and related information technology assets - Work closely with development teams to resolve Product issues - Schedule installations and upgrades and maintenance in accordance with established IIS policies, procedures and SLAs - Strong knowledge of Active Directory - 3+ years experience with Windows server 20032008 R2 - 3+ years experience with SQL server 2008 R2- Analysis Services - PowerShell - Administrative expertise with Company ESX - Administrative expertise with HyperV - IIS 6, 7. 5 - Backup Solutions Arcserve & Backup Exec - Windows SQL clustering - SCOM - Dell Blade Servers Other Requirements: - BA BS degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Ability to work in a fast paced environment performing mission critical tasks while maintaining 24 7 system uptime - After hourson-call support when required - Excellent analytical, communications and interpersonal skills - Ability to directly interact with clients and provide necessary project support - Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritize assigned tasks efficiently LI-BF.Email:
