I play drum set & hand percussion and I’m very easy to work & travel with. I have worked extensively with some of the best singer songwriters & bands (here in NYC and abroad). I am a consummate professional (Solid & Dependable) with reasonable rates (available upon request). I can offer your music the lift it needs and be the solid foundation to take it to the next level.

In addition, I would be available to act as the “MD” (Musical Director) for your band or gig. I can arrange rehearsals and secure players from a large database of high quality musicians I have at my disposal. We can discuss any specific needs you may have.

I will tailor each one-hour lesson at my Manhattan studio to exactly the areas you want to develop. I have more then 20 years of private teaching experience as well as teaching at such universities as Marymount Manhattan College, The NYACK School of Music, and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. My rates are fare and very reasonable.

I have performed with dozens of artists including Deborah Harry and Chris Stein of Blonde, The Yale University Big Band, The Five Satins, and worked with such Producers as Daniel Rey (White Zombie, Ramones), Steve Eigner (Nelly), Roger Fife (Tricky), Kramer (Urge Overkill, Ween, Butthole Surfers, Daniel Johnston), and Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

I play and teach all styles of drumming including Gospel, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Latin, Afro-Cuban, Pop, Brazilian, Samba, Bossa Nova, Funk, Hip Hop, R&B, Blues, Reggae, Dance Hall, One Drop, Rock Steady, Ska, Mento, Soca and Solo Drumming Among Others.

As a well versed seasoned studio and live drummer I have studied at both The Berklee College of Music where I received the prestigious Buddy Rich Jazz Masters Scholarship and at the University Of Miami where I was the recipient of the Bowman Ashe Scholarship for artistic and academic achievement.

As a creative drummer I have been featured in several drumming magazines including Modern Drummer and DRUM! Magazine. I have released many offerings as both a leader and a sideman. I have performed on among others WXPN’s (Philadelphia) “World Cafe”, WDST’s (Woodstock) “Sessions”, toured the Middle East for the Armed Forces in support of our troops, and toured China as part of a Jazz Cultural Exchange.

Do You Need A Talented Drummer / Percussionist?

I play drum set & hand percussion and I’m very easy to work & travel with. I have worked extensively with some of the best singer songwriters & bands (here in NYC and abroad). I am a consummate professional (Solid & Dependable) with reasonable rates (available upon request). I can offer your music the lift it needs and be the solid foundation to take it to the next level.

In addition, I would be available to act as the “MD” (Musical Director) for your band or gig. I can arrange rehearsals and secure players from a large database of high quality musicians I have at my disposal. We can discuss any specific needs you may have.

I prefer that you are a professional artist/musician (at least in conduct). I do have a well equipped air conditioned/heated rehearsal studio in downtown Manhattan with amps and p.a., keys etc. that can be made available to work on your material and live performances (as needed).

Learn How To Play Drums From A Pro!

If you want to learn how to play drums or just improve your drumming in general then I can help!

I will tailor each one-hour lesson at my Manhattan studio to exactly the areas you want to develop. I have more then 20 years of private teaching experience as well as teaching at such universities as Marymount Manhattan College, The NYACK School of Music, and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. My rates are very reasonable.

I play and teach all styles of drumming including Gospel, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Latin, Afro-Cuban, Pop, Brazilian, Samba, Bossa Nova, Funk, Hip Hop, Soul, Neo-Soul, R&B, Blues, Reggae, Dance Hall, One Drop, Rock Steady, Ska, Mento, Soca and Solo Drumming Among Others.

As a well versed seasoned studio and live drummer I have studied at both The Berklee College of Music where I received the prestigious Buddy Rich Jazz Masters Scholarship and at the University Of Miami where I was the recipient of the Bowman Ashe Scholarship for artistic and academic achievement.

I have performed with dozens of artists including Deborah Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie, Rick Ross, Masspike Miles, The Yale University Big Band, Melba Moore, Phil Perry, The Five Satins, Nadia Ali and worked with such Producers as Daniel Rey (White Zombie, Ramones), Steve Eigner (Nelly), Roger Fife (Tricky), Kramer (Urge Overkill, Ween, Butthole Surfers, Daniel Johnston), and Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). I have also performed at many churches some of which include Trinity Grace, Redeemer, The Journey, Infinity, Citilights, Emmanuel, and Grace Redeemer Church as well as performed for the Theater and Dance communities.

As a creative drummer I have been featured in several drumming magazines including Modern Drummer and DRUM! Magazine, Percfest, and The Black Page. I have released many offerings as both a leader and a sideman. I have performed on among others WXPN’s (Philadelphia) “World Cafe”, WDST’s (Woodstock) “Sessions”, toured the Middle East for the Armed Forces in support of our troops, and toured China as part of a Jazz Cultural Exchange.

I am Endorsed By Vic Firth Drumsticks, Sabian Cymbals, Evans Drum Heads, Brady Snare Drums, RhythmTech, and Grover Pro Percussion.

We all know that recording sessions have an element of stress attached to them, especially if you’re paying the bill. You can reduce some of that stress by recording in a friendly and familiar environment.
At AM Studios you can rehearse in the very same room you will record in. By the time you decide to “hit the record button” you will know the room sound, the amps, the drum kit and the staff.
To record we use a ProTools HD Accel system with an excellent, versatile front end including vintage mics, tube pre-amps, compressors, and Eq’s.
We’re located in the music building (Down Time) where so many musicians come to rehearse.
